Welcome to 2018!
By Disruptors Handbook • Issue #80 • View online
Not everyone is back to work as yet, but almost everyone is recovering from the holiday tradition of too much food and plenty. After all that time off, it can be hard to get to grips with the issues that are rising in 2018 - security, cryptocurrencies, sustainable innovation and economic precariousness.
But we are here to help you get back on track with a simple 3-step process for getting to grip with the year ahead.
  1. Start by thinking about what outcomes you’d like to see (for your business/industry/personal life) in 2018.
  2. Identify any barriers to achieving those outcomes. From this, you should be able to identify what outputs and innovation you will need to overcome those barriers.
  3. Try and put those innovations in a chronological order - what needs to come first before you can achieve the next goal, etc.  Once you have the order correctly, have a go at putting some deadlines on delivery of each output.
What you will create from these three steps is an innovation plan for 2018.  You will not yet have the solutions, but you will have set out the program for accessing those solutions. And if you need a hand at generating solutions, give us a call.
